Student Exchange - Japan-Asia Youth Exchange Program in Science

OBJECTIVES

The objective of this program is to increase the interest of Asian youth in the excellent science and technology of Japan through collaboration between industries and the government by facilitating short visits to eco-towns in the city of Kitakyushu, Japan for youth selected through the Sakura and the Low Carbon in a Science Program.

This activity is useful for:

  • • Increasing exchanges between youth in Asia and Japan that play an important role in the development of science and technology
  • • Training self-confidence, especially in communicating with foreigners and adapting to new things
  • • Developing international knowledge and understanding of cultural and societal perspectives.
  • • Increasing knowledge on construction and area maintenance of the city of Kitakyushu in Japan.
  • • Determining the correlation and relationship between waste management and its benefits in the health sector

SUGGESTION

Hopefully, this activity can continue for the Biomedical Master’s program and be extended to the medical undergraduate programs to create a healthy environment in the medical faculty on a small scale and the city of Medan and Indonesia on a larger scale.
